What is Our Lady of Hope Clinic?

Our Lady of Hope Clinic is a community-based response to the challenges that face our nation’s health care system.

Restoring the Doctor-Patient Relationship

Individuals and families who support the clinic with a modest annual contribution are entitled to receive all of their primary care from Our Lady of Hope Clinic at no further charge. Our benefactors receive extended 30-minute office visits, same-day scheduling, and the opportunity to contact their personal physician 24/7 by phone or email.

This concierge model of care empowers patients — not insurance companies — to take charge of their own care. Busy schedules, high co-pays and costly premiums are no longer obstacles to excellent primary care. And patients never receive a bill or pay a co-pay at Our Lady of Hope Clinic.

Compassionate Care for Those in Need

Each year, approximately one in nine Wisconsinites goes without health insurance for all or part of the year. Without access to basic health care, manageable conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol often go untreated until they turn into serious problems that result in preventable emergency room visits or hospitalizations.

The support of our benefactors makes it possible for us to provide free care to these uninsured recipients. By keeping our overhead low, we are able to give more than 50 percent of our visits (more than 3,000 per year) away for free to those who lack access to primary care.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to serve the community of Madison by establishing a self-sustaining non-profit organization for the delivery of free outpatient healthcare to uninsured persons ineligible for county, state or federal welfare programs, consistent with Catholic health care tradition.
